REQM Silver Award

Welcome to the summer term in class 4. We have a busy time ahead with many exciting activities for the children to take part in.

Our new topic is ‘Ancient Egypt’, which is full of fun tasks including the class 4 performance in a few weeks, so look out for your invitations. We will be learning all about the lives of this ancient civilisation, including the discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamun: We have already begun a huge collage of his death mask.

We will also be studying the gruesome act of mummification and the importance of the afterlife.

As well as looking at animals and their habitats in science, and making various Egyptian artefacts in art, the summer term also includes May Day celebrations, sports day and our residential trip to Grendon, so we will look forward to an incredibly busy, but fun, time!
