Year 6 have settled in quickly to their final term at Hackleton School. Our end of key stage assessments are the main focus for us over the next few weeks, but as always we have made a good start on our topic and science work too.

We are now experts on why the Mayans wore masks having investigated their designs and purpose. We have posed lots of questions about the Mayan civilisation and aim to answer as many as we can by the end of term.

Our science work on healthy living began by looking at how the heart works and why it is important to keep it healthy. There were a few worrying moments when some of us struggled to find our pulse during a recent experiment, but it was only a temporary hitch.
