REQM Silver Award

The Year 6 children have all settled in well and are beginning to get to grips with the hard work and expectations that comes with being in year 6. We have spent quite a lot of time talking about being role-models for the rest of the school and building a desire to do well.

Earlier in the term we held our own alternative Olympic Games. Events included paper aeroplane making and flying and a ‘Kim’s game’ memory test. The city-states of Corinth and Athens were the winners. We will continue our work on the Ancient Greeks until Christmas.

Our science work on light saw us trying to turn cereal boxes into periscopes. We had quite a few successful attempts and it all helped with our learning about reflected light.

Attached are some photos from the Olympic Games.
