REQM Silver Award

Saturday 17th March was an exciting day for 16 of our Year 3 and 4 children who took part in Junior Strictly Northampton Year 3 and 4 at The Deco. The team did fantastically well, finishing second in their competition! They should be very proud of themselves. They will now go through to the regional grand final in June at the Derngate.

Key Stage 1 performed a concert for their mothers and grandmothers to thank them for all that they do.

In our teacher run 'Strictly' sessions, selected children are learning the Quick Step and Samba. They are rehearsing hard in preparation for the Year 5 & 6 'Junior Strictly Northampton' competition which is being held at the Derngate in November. Once they have mastered the steps on their own, they face the challenge of working in hold with a partner. Having achieved that, they'll move on to putting their dances into formation and adding the finishing touches so they're ready for their performance on stage at the Derngate.

On Saturday 18th November, the Strictly team performed in Junior Strictly Northampton at the Derngate. They were one of 19 schools dancing during the morning competition and scored an amazing 32 points! Schools from all over Northamptonshire took part in the exciting competition, all performing the Quickstep and Samba. The representative children from Hackleton performed brilliantly! Their hard work and commitment paid off and so many people watching commented on how good they were. Out of 19 schools they were placed 6th, which is a massive achievement and we're really proud of them!
