For a number of years, Hackleton have entered the Dancing Schools UK competition in Northamptonshire for ballroom dancing. All children have the chance to audition for the teams, who compete at local theatres including the Royal and Derngate Theatre in Northampton. We have enjoyed huge success in this competition with teams regularly finishing in the top 3 in grand finals and collecting trophies along the way. They receive expert tuition and learn to dance to a high standard before going on stage to represent the school. This opportunity really does give children a chance to grow in confidence and a chance to shine outside of the classroom.
