PE

At Hackleton CEVA Primary School, we believe that physical activity and sport play a crucial role in a child's overall well-being, and we aim to instill a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity. We offer a wide variety of opportunities for our pupils to explore different activities, allowing them to discover their own preferences and experience the benefits of an active lifestyle.. Through a range of activities, we focus on developing agility, balance, and coordination, while promoting movement and social interaction. We value and celebrate the diverse abilities of our pupils, fostering an environment of respect and inclusivity. In PE lessons, children learn to compete against themselves and others, working both individually and in teams. This fosters self-confidence, perseverance, and a sense of achievement, preparing them for future engagement in physical activity and sporting opportunities beyond our school. From Year 1 upwards, PE lessons are taught by a specialist sports coach.

The objectives for P.E. in KS1 and KS2 are clearly set out for each year group in the National Curriculum which can be found by clicking the link below.
