Allergies

At Hackleton CE Primary School, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive environment where children with allergies can fully participate in all aspects of school life.

We recognise that allergies can range from mild reactions to severe, life-threatening anaphylaxis. To help keep our pupils safe, all staff are trained in allergy awareness and anaphylaxis management, ensuring they can recognise symptoms and respond appropriately in an emergency.

If Your Child Has an Allergy

Please inform the school as soon as possible if your child has any allergy or medical condition that may require special support.

Parents and carers should:

  • Provide up-to-date information about their child's allergy.
  • Inform us of any changes to diagnosis, treatment or medication.
  • Supply any prescribed medication, including adrenaline auto-injectors where required.
  • Ensure medication is clearly labelled, in date and replaced when necessary.
  • Work with the school to complete and review an Individual Healthcare Plan.

If you would like to discuss your child's individual needs, please contact the School Office.
