Art and design at Hackleton provides children with the opportunity to express and develop their creativity and confidence as they engage with a range of design techniques and artistic media. Pupils are encouraged to explore, experiment and generate ideas using individual sketch books and are taught specific skills in drawing, painting and making. This enables them to create individual and imaginative work. They will learn about the importance of art and how it reflects and shapes our history, culture and creativity as well as finding out about artists whose work celebrates culture, gives individuals a voice and brings joy to others.
