WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL
Choosing the right school matters, and at Hackleton CEVA Primary School you’ll find a place where your child is genuinely known, supported, and encouraged to thrive. As a long established village school serving Hackleton, Horton, Piddington and the wider community since 1877, we welcome families from many surrounding areas who are looking for a caring, inclusive environment where children feel they truly belong.
From the moment your child walks through our doors, they become part of a vibrant, nurturing community where their happiness, confidence, and well-being come first. Every child is valued as an individual, and we work closely with you to help them discover their strengths — whether that’s in sport, music, drama, dance, or academic learning.
Alongside this strong pastoral care, we are equally committed to high academic standards. We have high expectations for every child and provide the support and challenge they need to achieve their very best. Through carefully planned teaching and a focus on core skills, we help children develop confidence in their learning and take pride in their achievements.
Your child will enjoy a rich, engaging curriculum designed to spark curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Lessons are brought to life through exciting trips, inspiring visitors, and memorable events throughout the year. With a fantastic library, a wide range of before and after school clubs, and a beautiful large playing field, your child has endless opportunities to explore, grow, and build friendships.
We also believe in helping children develop the confidence and character to make a positive difference. There are many opportunities for pupils to take on responsibility and develop leadership skills, whether through our active School Council, Eco Council, house system, or additional roles throughout the school. In these roles, children learn teamwork, responsibility, and leadership in ways that feel meaningful and rewarding, helping them to grow in confidence and develop skills for the future.
Most importantly, you’ll always feel part of your child’s journey. We value strong partnerships with parents and warmly welcome you into school life — whether you’re joining us for celebrations, workshops, performances, or simply sharing in your child’s achievements. Our thriving Parent Association reflects the strong sense of community that makes Hackleton such a special place.
We would be delighted to welcome you to visit our school and see everything we have to offer first-hand. Please get in touch to arrange a visit—we look forward to meeting you and your family.
