Woodleys Village nursery offers full day childcare for children up to the age of 5 years and before, after school and holiday club for children up to the age of 11 years.
The children are all based in one light, bright and multifunctional space. The setting practices family grouping of children in a kind, caring and secure way which reflects the ethos and beliefs practiced within the primary school. Children learn from supporting, encouraging and caring for each other which in turn enables them to thrive.
Nursery
We offer a choice of sessions from half days to full days and both 2+ and 3+ funded sessions are available. The mixed age group allows children to learn from each other, a key strength recognised by Ofsted, which is particularly noticeable with regards to children’s communication, speech and language and social skills. A family grouping environment we believe is the most effective way of supporting the way children learn and develop.
The garden is fully equipped with outside play enabling resources, is shaded from the sun and also adjoins the school playground which the children use when not in use by the larger school age children.
Before & After school and Holiday Club
Called WOOSH, children up to the age of 11 years can be dropped off at nursery at 7am, given breakfast of cereal and toast and walked to our partnership schools for the start of the school day. When school finishes we will collect them from school and they can enjoy a snack and stay with us until 6pm when they are collected.
Children who attend non partnership schools are more than welcome to attend although arrangements may need to be made for their journeys to and from school. In the school holidays we are able to offer this service full time from 8am to 6pm with the children being provided with a cooked lunch and tea in the afternoon.
All facilities and equipment for the older children are age appropriate for them and any activities they choose to do will be interesting and enjoyable. We are not a school so fun is at the centre of everything we do. With its rural village location, nearby fields and parks, it is the ideal spot to enjoy the school holidays in a safe and stimulating environment.
