At Hackleton, we have an engaging, practical and challenging design technology curriculum. With increasing skills and knowledge, children will learn how to design, make and evaluate products in the key areas of electrical systems, structures, textiles, cooking and nutrition and the digital world. In design technology lessons, children are supported to use their creativity and imagination, solve problems and build confidence. Through the evaluation of past and present design and technology, children at Hackleton develop a critical understanding of its impact on daily life and the wider world. The projects undertaken result in a real, physical product that represents the children’s learning journey and all the obstacles and successes they experienced along the way.
